Every other week I meet with a group of crafty stitchers at Panera bread – the group started as an extension of my Crazy quilting group. We get together, several of us order dinner, at least one only gets a drink, there are desserts (we moved from a Starbucks because of the larger selection of [...]

A quick and easy project

Share

Another thing I did – weekend after last, was attend an exhibit at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. We’re so lucky to have this fabulous resource in Colorado! They have recently moved spaces (down the street) and the space is smaller, but more compact – and probably easier for volunteers.

The gift shop is fabulous! [...]

Note ** I have had so much going on, that I’m WAY behind on my posts, this is a post, I started two weekends ago – eek! Since then I’ve done a ton more, so the next few days will be post heavy! (brace yourselves, ha ha)**

My plate from Into the Fire

Share

Last week I got to go to “Into the Fire” – which is a decorate your own pottery place in Arvada, CO. VERY fun! I found it really “zen” to paint again – haven’t done it in years. If you live in Denver, you might want to check it out – I wrote a review [...]

Hug Bugs!

Share

Aren’t they cute?

This summer we’ve started the family tradition of “hug bug” – which came from “slug bug” – but two children in the back seat of the car in a pacifist family hitting each other each time they see a cute car seemed wrong, so we’ve modified it.

Anyway, I saw [...]

I get to do a crafty guest post! Yay

A few months ago, my friend Melissa Taylor invited me to do a guest artist post on her Award Winning blog “Imagination Soup”! Well, I pondered and worried and finally came up with my favorite summer activities for kids!

If you pop over and read it you can even get two pdf downloads of some [...]

3 ways to repair kids pants

Share

I’m gaining fast knowledge of kids pants repair. My kids have a deep love (and ability) to rip holes in all their pants. On top of that, Missy C is SKINNY and so pants that are WAY too short, still fit around her waist. So, here’s 3 different repairs to some beloved pants:

First, I’ve [...]

Whew! It was a crazy busy week, and just when I was preparing this post, I opened my Etsy store and a busy weekend just became busier!! ha ha!

So, we had a fabulous weekend! Saturday we had some wonderful friends over for dinner and recieved a fabulous gift (which is over on the mid-century blog if you want to drool and be jealous we have such cool friends).

Hot days and snowy days

Share

Life has been busy and unpredictable here, just like the Colorado weather (weekend before last it was snowing, then last weekend 80 degrees, and today snowing again).

But I thought I’d quickly share what we’ve been up to. Rex likes to make candles and this past weekend he got out his candle making stuff:
